As a healthcare professional, the past months were obviously busier and more intense than anything I had expected in the beginning of 2020. This also explains the silence over here at the Midwife Without Borders blog. To make it up to you and perhaps cheer you up a little, here’s a small celebration.
The Mount Meru Foundation, of which I am a board member, recently celebrated its fifth anniversary! Five years in which we worked hard to help and further improve antenatal care in Northern Tanzania through strengthening the local obstetric sonography capacity (more on that can be found here).
Anniversaries typically include both looking back at what has been achieved and looking ahead to future achievements. Since the coronavirus made it hard to do is in person, we’ve been working on a little video to give you an overview of our past, present and future work:
